The Tabernacle is the single
most detailed building project described in an ancient text, in terms of
the function and layout of both the tented structure, and the various
implements that were to be used inside. The 50 cubit by 100 cubit
courtyard (75 x 150 feet) will be surrounded by a fence enclosure, Each
pillar crafted to the specifications of the Bible. Inside the court are
the brazen (copper) altar, and the wash basin (laver) for the cleansing of
the hands that would slay the sacrifices. A tent stands in the court, with
four colored coverings draped over the gold covered wood walls. Within the
tent is the Holy Place , where the lampstand (Menorah), the altar of
incense, and the table of Show Bread await your visit. Each glisten of
gold, as the walls that surround them. The front of the room has a
colorful curtain with the divider to the “Most Holy Place”, the container
of the Holy Ark.
